Large Transom Scupper Cracked
#1
2004 Tiara 3200 Open
My Large Transom Scupper is missing a piece on the exterior hull on both starboard and port.
Is this scupper a standard component or Tiara only?
It is about 8 inches long with rounded edges.
The deck drains into a compartment and then out this black scupper.
Please help.

Michael, you can try Iboat.com or, Perko.com.  You can contact them via email. It's a good idea to include a picture so they know what you're looking for.  Good luck.

Not sure if your missing or broke the actual scupper or the rubber flap that closes the opening.  If it's the rubber flap, that on is easy, order rubber from Grainger and cut to fit ($10).   If it is the actual scupper frame and it is anything like my 98 31' open it is a Tiara specific design.  Two pieces, one fit from the interior and one fit from the exterior (slide into one another).  I Call Brian Kane at Tiara and had had it in a week.

If it is the same, you'll need to make a jig to extract the existing broken pieces that are 5200'd in.  Plywood and some threaded rods w bolts cut to fit worked great in addition to a heat gun and some patience.

Let us know if you need any more guidance!

I need to replace he scupper valves as well.  How much did Tiara charge you?  I would like the same replacements if possible.

The parts weren't cheap. If I recall the 2 pieces for one side were $235 or so. They are formed plastic or some composite. The problem is that there are no real alternatives unless you customize something.

Make sure you check the areas for moisture. Mine were wet. We dried them out and infiltrated West epoxy into the plywood before installing new fittings.
