Having issues with the Halon fire suppression system activating after 3-4 hours of cruising time. Can anyone suggest a remedy??
When you say activating after 3 to 4 hours of cruising, do you mean the lights at the dash only come on then? Not really sure what issue your having.

Dumping a bottle of Halon into the E.R. would shorten a trip pretty fast so I'm guessing it's just lights. I'd honestly have the whole thing looked at by a pro. I'm pretty handy but I don't trust myself to get it perfect and would never forgive myself if someone got hurt.
Agree with emarrero. Get someone to come look at it, test it, and certify it.

Found the engine room temp getting too high and setting off the fire supression sys. Tank is located too close to the turbo on the port side bulkhead. Added ventilaion to the engine room and relocated the tank to aft centerline. Problem solved.
