This might be for you to answer. I need the porthole window screens with the rubber seal. I have one window by my dinette that the screen is bad and the seal is not sealing properly. Could you give me the name or site where I can purchase them.

Sorry about that, I tried to answer on Friday and lost internet. I'm sure you can get the screens direct from the manufacturer, or order them though a boating supply company. Do you know who the manufacturer is of the portlights on the 29? I'll find out today and let you know who to contact.

No idea on who the manufacture is?? It's the windows that are on the hull sides. Tiara should know who the supplier is, I think they still use that style window on their Coronet model?? The window screen is part of the window gasket to seal the window from the elements when closed. Keep me posted when you find out

I think Bowmar made those Portlights. I am going to look at a Coronet in the morning. I'll take a close look at the portlights and see if I can find a manufacturer stamp.
In the meantime, check out this sight and see if you recognize the portlight.

If you can peel out the screen and gasket and remove the screen from the gasket without tearing up the gasket too much, you can just get some new screen and bed the new gasket and screen in place using marine silicone. I did all my port lights this way and they came out perfect. Below is the McMaster Carr order for the screen. It's important you get this type. It's non corrosive and matches the original perfectly.

Screen and gasket can be peeled from the frame together on the inside using a plastic spatula (resin mixing type, for example).

I recently purchased new portlight screens and gaskets from GG Schmitt and sons (prestige Removable Gasket with Encapsulated Insect Screen) I am getting ready to install them but there is no instuctions they came with gasket, baker ring, glue and screen. has anyone ever installed them? if so can you share the proceeddure? where does the glue go?
