I had a similar issue in my 1995 454 Crusaders. Ultimately discovered the culprit was a faulty anti-siphon valve in the fuel tank.

You also may want to change the water separator on that side. I also havea 1989 Tiara 2700 Open and seemed to have the same issue a while back
