RE: water in bildge - honest mark - 07-09-2022 ahhh, makes sense, thank you RE: water in bildge - duchess - 07-11-2022 I have a 1986 31" Open and have the same thing. I cleaned and painted my engine room and it's perfectly clean when I leave. There seems to be a small secret bilge just in front of the bulkhead that seem to drain nasty, scummy, dirt water through the inboard stringers, if that makes sense. Driving me nutty! RE: water in bildge - honest mark - 07-22-2023 (07-05-2022, 10:16 AM)MC1600 Wrote: Could be a weeping thru-hull, ac condensation (which typically drains into the bilge), rainwater, an overflowing shower sump, etc… My bilge is always dry except the part in the very back of the boat where there’s always a couple inches. I’ve decided to stop chasing my tail and accept it. Guess if it becomes a larger problem, you’ll recognize it. when you say a weeping thru hull what exactly do you mean? there are the 2 main thru hulls right there by where the leaking is coming from? is there anyway to check that? |
