Belt dust - firstlight - 03-29-2015
2006 tiara cummins qsb380 getting a lot of black dust from belt port engine. When I remove cover they look ok but have not removed belt from pullley. Thanks Frank

If you have a water leak anywhere and it gets on the pulleys they will rust and abrade the belt. I have removed the pulleys and cleaned them with a file and sandpaper while spinning on a lathe and then repainted them to make the problem go away. Capt. George
