LED Lighting Upgrade 3100 Open - TWO SUNS - 05-26-2015
Working to upgrade the accent and florescent lighting on a 1997 3100. Anyone completed similar project. If so what led strip did you use?

I just replaced the accent strip under the galley on my 98 31 open, as well as adding stair lights and a couple of exterior lighting upgrades (on the arch and under the combings). I found that the LED strip lights work great, although I added a dimmer because they have so much output. Both the stair and galley lights feed through the dimmer so everything is in unison. The dimmer I got at Home Depot.
I got the LED strip from a Radio shack that was going out of business, so dirt cheap, but I shopped around and found that the auto supply places are the cheapest for almost any LED's. That said Home Depot has 12v 3 color and white LED strips for home use that will work.
FYI, I used 3m double stick tape as well as some 4200 to hold the strips in place.
The accent lights forward are my next project!
