ground wire alert - sluggo - 06-22-2015 I have a 2006 Sovran 3600. Up on the electrical panel next to meters are 3 little lights, that indicated different problems with the shore power. The second light keeps coming on, it says like , 'ground wrong' and the alarm beeps. I have my power cords hard wired to the box on the one end, and the regular connectors on the boat end. When the alarm goes off, I just reset set the breakers at the power box and everything reads okay. My question is, what causes the alarm to go off?? I am sure I have things wired correctly, and when everything is reset, everything reads correctly, plus there are times, maybe weeks, the alarm wont go off at all. I thought for a while, a loose connection may cause this, and that's why I hard wired them to the box. Any other thoughts??? TIA |
