J Lounge Removal on 32 Open - Primetime Pete - 06-29-2015

Trying to remove the j lounge from the upper cockpit area of my 2005 32open. I removed the 6 lags I can see from inside the storage area but to no avail the lounge is held down tight. Appears to be secured down with some sealant?? Has anyone removed the seat before any help appreciated.
        thanks

I haven't removed anything that sizable from my 98 31 Open, but I've worked around a couple of other items and found most positioned with 5200 in addition to fixed fasteners.  I've had good success with a heat gun warming the materials and using a scraper to get in the tight places to break the sealant bonds.

Good luck.

A length of piano wire around two dowels can be used as a saw along with lots of WD40 to cut through a sealant. Wooden wedges for pry's also help. Capt. George
