After coolers - bwoods94 - 11-03-2016 Just purchased an '06 38 Open great shape and low hours. Do I need to be concerned about the possible corrosion in the after coolers? Should I have the local Cummins shop replace them? Thanks. Removed and cleaned the aftercoolers in 2011 (engines had ~670 hrs).... Recommend that they be done and if your somewhat handy not a big deal...Iv'e attached several pictures of what mine looked like when opened.....I've also attached a web site that explains more regarding the cleaning of the aftercoolers....
