Block heaters or inline heaters for 6V92 Detroit - bruce33 - 11-08-2016 I have a 1996 41 Open with 6V92 Detroit's and I am looking to put engine heaters on them. Has anyone done this? It seems impossible. Everyone I seem to talk to about this, has even an older Detroit with a little different configuration, and it is not the same. PLEASE, if anyone has the answer for this, send me a message, pictures, kinda of heater, etc... RE: Block heaters or inline heaters for 6V92 Detroit - YOLO - 11-13-2016 I have used Wolverine heaters on my Cummins 6BTA. They adhere to the bottom of the oil pan. Love em'! http://www.wolverineheater.com/Boat-and-Amphibious-Vehicle-Heaters-s/1514.htm RE: Block heaters or inline heaters for 6V92 Detroit - bruce33 - 11-13-2016 Thanks. I heard of these, but I would rather heat the antifreeze. Not crazy about grinding down the paint on the oil pan. |
