Looking for Tiara 36 - Tripper - 02-21-2011
I am looking for a Tiara 36 or something in that size range.. I live on SF Bay but see that most of these boats are in Florida or somewhere on the east coast. I don't really want to fly to Florida to check out boats unless there is no other way to get one. I am looking for twin diesels, 1990's years, set up for cruising. I tend to be fussy with my boats, so I do not want any fixer uppers. However, cosmetics, canvas, etc are okay; in fact I prefer to do that with my boats. I am not a fisherman and am told that it's expensive to remove all that gear from a boat, so that further limits my options. I have several friends who are Tiara owners (31 to 45) and they suggested I try this site to see if there is anyone on the West Coast who may be thinking about selling a boat. I am trying to keep a purchase under 100k. Anyone out there who can steer me in the right direction or has advice or wisdom they would like to share with me, would be most appreciated.

Trip - welcome to the forum. I am sure it is hard to find a good Tiara on the West Coast, but keep looking one is bound to come up. Too bad you are not on the East Coast because there are several in my marina for sale.
