Bow rail - Ezreel - 05-05-2017 I have a 31 openTiara. Have noticed a little water on the floor and i think it is coming from the bow rail. I need to tighten the bolts and need to know how to get to them inside the boat. Has anyone experienced this or ever have a similar problem? RE: Bow rail - Uhehner - 05-05-2017 Please describe the problem a little more. Exactly where is the water. I doubt that a railing stanchion leak would reach the floor. More likely it would just stain the fabric in the area of the leak. I have had water in the cabin from a plugged anchor locker drain, from the cabin door hatch gasket leaking, from the cabin top hatches leaking and from a loose railing stanchion. Just tightening the bolts on a stanchion will not fix the problem. You must remove the bolts, pry up the stanchion and re-bed it. I used 5200. It is easy or hard depending on which one its leaking. To help find the leak spray some dish washing soap in the suspect area and then flood it with water. The soap helps reduce the surface tension and the leak will show up faster. Capt.
