What maintenance Items should I keep on the boat - s.moore@jemtechgroup.com - 07-14-2017

I love my Tiara  36' Open . About to take our first trip and was wondering if anyone had a list of items that I should have on the boat in case of breakdown. I realize i can't take every part with us but I just do not want to be stranded and have to call for a tow if i don;t have to
My initial list is
  • Two impellers
  • wooden drain plugs
  • Oil filters and fuel separators
  • Jumper cables
  • Tool set
  • Flashlight
  • I have all the flares and safety flags
  • Hoses??
What am I forgetting ???  we leave this Wednesday  . Thank you in advance for your input

Look on the web site, "The Hull Truth", for some additional ideas.

And, your vessel's machinery consists of the engines and generator (belts, filters, etc.).

Good luck.

I carry an engine alternator / water pump belt and one of the engine relays.

Assortment of Hose clamps and some split hard wall hose to make a temporary patch on a leaking or broken hose.
Volt-ohm meter always good to have to trouble shoot electrical issues
Mask and knife in case something gets wrapped around a prop
On my last gas engine boat I used to carry a spare coil, distributer pickup (mercuiser thunderbolt) and fuel pump, ( I had spares laying around)

Have a great trip.

Thank you I appreciate your input

Thank you very much for your input . I wish there was a list of the part numbers or recommended replacement parts that Tiara could publish for my engines and year . 2005 36' open 8.1 crusaders
