I have a 1998 31ft open that at night when the lights are on you can see everything inside the boat any ideas on how to prevent this the smoked glass is in good condition. During the daytime you cant see a thing. :help:

Just bought a 1989 Tiara 3300 Open. Previous owner slept on the boat on weekends.
His wife made a canvas curtain that mounted over the stationary part of the smoked glass
blocking out light and prevents ability to see into the cabin area.

Yes, I had a 34 pursuit with the same issue. Pursuit provided a canvas cover that snapped and velcro'd over the complete inside of the companionway. It worked great.

Our 36 sovran came with a cover that snaps at the top of the door and then has Velcro at the corner. It should be easy to make out of Sunbrela that can be found at Joanne fabric.

Here is the low tech fix. We had a 3100 Open and at night we would put a small bungee across the two lockdown bolts and hang a small towel over it.

I used sunbrella and sewed two pockets in the top and bottom to accommodate two small spring rods (found at walmart). Works great and not permenant.

Have your canvas company make a canvas cover for the inside. Install it with snaps and Velcro.

Your boat may have come with one, so there may already be snaps and Velcro installed on the inside of the door frame.
