I have a 36" open 2006. When I fill water tank the tank expands and pushes the floor board up a good 8 inches. The over flow vent works but not enough to prevent tank bladder from expanding to a level that in time will cause damage.
I ran a garden hose black flushing the over flow hose. It exited vent but had a lot of back pressure. How do I get to vent to clean or change? Thanks

8 inches?? WOW! You certainly have a vent problem....the water must pour out of the deck fill and vent, if it is not stopped up...when you fill the tank. I can't see how you can pressurize the tank for that kind of expansion without it rupturing. Can you give us any more details?

You will have to find the vent on the inside of the hull and gain access. Remove the hose clamp and hose. Now try to flush the vent hose. If it is clear, now concentrate on the vent. You should be able to carefully take a small screwdriver and remove the blockage. It is not unusual for bugs to build nests in the vents. Mud dobbers are the worst, since they build a concrete like nest that cannot be removed by water pressure. It has to be scrapped out. Good Luck!

I needed to place L shape brackets to secure floor board which sits on top of the tank to the stringers. The floor board prevents the tank from expanding and the water now flows from overfill vent.
