Storage of outboard engine underway - Coppifan - 05-30-2018
I have a 2000 31 Open. Have just installed Weaver davits to carry my inflatable tender. Looking for ideas on how to carry my Suzuki 2.5 hp outboard...Maybe in the cockpit? Thanks.

On my 31 Open I would place a 3 foot section of 2X6 lumber in the aft starboard corner, running the lumber fore and aft. Place the outboard on the lubber (tiller up) with the prop towards the transom. A couple bungee cords , one from the rod holder and another from the cleat would keep everything secure. Maybe wrap an old towel around the motor to prevent marking the fiberglass. Bob
