Radar Arch Cover Plate Anchors - Sans Peur - 06-13-2018

I was replacing the electronics and removed the covers under the arch. Two of them have the spreader lights in them. The little white plastic expansion screws would not back out and I had to destroy quite a few of them in the process. Does anyone know where to find them.? I looked online and can find Black ones but like the look with the white ones.

Boat is a 2000 41 Open

Good luck and let me know if you find them. I've looked all over the Internet with no luck. Like you said Black is no problem. I also called Toara and they don't stock them anymore. I thought about tapping the holes but then I've exposed the aluminum. Trying to find some kind of threaded insert that will work. Someone told me about a special rivet that has a threaded center? Haven't been able to find that either.

Yep, I have looked everywhere. So far my best solution is to use the clear plastic expansion anchors used for hanging pictures in drywall and putting Stailness screws in it. Looks ok unless you really get up close. I figure anyone who comments gets 10 lashes.

Didn't consider that. Other than a gap between cover and arch should work good. Using Snap caps will even match headliner. Thanks.

The drywall expansion pieces actually kept the cover plate against the arch without a gap. I was surprised how at well they worked. The pan head S/S screws even look ok. I may just leave it like that and change out the other ones to keep the entire arch uniform.
