Alternator Regulator - Coppifan - 09-06-2018

Just what does my alternator regulator do?

Fundamentally the alternator regulator manages the charging to the batteries. It manages the output to ensure correct charging voltage (approx. 13.5v) and rate to the batteries. Once the batteries are fully charged it maintains the float level to ensure the batteries are not overcharged....The regulator parameters are set based on the type and number of batteries that are charged... There are different charging values for wet cell, AMG, and GEL Batteries... M2C
