Towing a dingy with my 41 Open? - Sans Peur - 11-17-2018

I have had my 2000 41 Open for about 8 months now and love the boat. Came off a 40' sportfisher that was a good boat but I didn't like being captain for the day. Very lonely up top by yourself.
Anyway, I am looking towards the Bahamas to fish and spend weekends at. I know I will need a smaller boat to get to shore in most of the places I go to and don't really want an inflatable. I am thinking of a 16 to 17' center console or maybe a twinvee to tow behind me. Has anyone done this with their Tiara before? The rear cleats seem sturdy and the lines would run straight out the back of the transom. I dont figure a small boat would put too much pressure on it, as long as I don't try and run in some heavy seas of coarse.

I would suggest reaching out to Tiara to get their opinion. my guess is that towing a center console of any size would not be advisable, at least for any distance. That's a lot of drag and stress being applied especially when the tow is digging into waves. It's also going to increase the prop loading on the engines. M2C
