New Air Conditionar Recomendations - dbruce222@gmail.com - 04-06-2019

I need a new AC unit for my 2000 Express. Has anyone had any experience a company called Aqua Air out of Miami. I am considering them or Dometic. Aqua Air is much less expensive. I have heard the new models of Dometic are not as good as the original Cruisair.

I've never heard of Aqua Air, but I did buy a replacement system from Marine Air about 10 years ago. Really liked the system.

Also, most new AC system do not come with new mounting brackets, so you either need to keep your old ones or purchase in addition to the new unit.

Thanks. That looks like a nice unit at a good price. That is the manufacturer of my unit now. It has lasted well. I did not know they still made units after they were bought by Dometic

I am not certain this is the same Marine Air product that Dometic purchased. The spelling (no e on Marine) is different. Regardless, it's worked very well for me.

Another option might be MarineAire ([Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]). Several of my clients have them and I haven’t heard anything bad.

Thanks for the info. I still have not replace it and the boat is in Fort Myers Florida now and it is working hard.
 I have another question. Does anyone know where the thermostat is on the water heater.
 Mine gets so hot.
 Again I have a 2000 40 Express. Heater under the bed

It depends on which hot water tank you have but they’re usually integrated with the electrical heating element.
