Lewmar or Maxwell? - RCKLAW - 05-04-2019
I need to replace the windlass on my 1995 Tiara 31 Open. Original was Maxwell, and both Maxwell and Lewmar seem to have compatible models.
I'm leaning toward the Maxwell thinking its installation would be simpler replacing the same brand, but the footprint may not be the same for models that are 24 years apart.
Do any of you have a preference or thoughts?

I've found Maxwell equipment to be very good and they provide great support. No experience with Lewmar so can't say. drop Maxwell support a note they will let you know comparable model and if mounting needs to change.
