Sling Mark Discrepancy (3900 Sorvran) - Chris Burkard - 01-16-2014 I have a client with a 2008 Tiara 3900 Sovran. While lifting the boat for service, they noticed that the Port and Stbd. forward sling marks are not symmetrical. The Stbd. forward sling mark is approximately 18" further forward than the Port forward sling mark. I don't believe the difference in the forward marks would make much difference, but if there was that much of difference in the aft marks, there could be trouble with crushing thru-hull intake grates, or getting a strap caught on one of the drives. If any of the Tiara Reps read this, is there a way to get a diagram showing where the sling marks should be located? Sincerely, Sling Mark Discrepancy (3900 Sorvran) - Uhehner - 01-16-2014 Chris - My owners manual shows where the slings go on my 36. As an added precaution, I always put a piece of red electrical tape on the gunnel where the slings should go. I learned this the hard way years ago after a yard lifted my boat with the straps under the shafts. Capt. George |
