does anyone own a Tiara from like 2009 etc that had the Volvo pod drive system - sluggo - 12-19-2019 I was looking at some and wondered how that system was/is holding up. Any thoughts?? TIA RE: does anyone own a Tiara from like 2009 etc that had the Volvo pod drive system - reeltimebrad - 01-16-2020 A buddy of mine had one of the first pods on a sovran and I remember it was not very dependable. Mostly electrical issues. does anyone own a Tiara from like 2009 etc that had the Volvo pod drive system - rapnjar - 01-19-2020 I have a 2008 43 Sovran with IPS and love it. Maintenance can’t be neglected and it cost a little more to maintain than conventional systems however the efficiency is great and the maneuverability is unbelievable. Yeah someone will say “I can drive twin screws so I don’t need pods”...not a single person talks it down after they drive this boat. Upgrade to the stainless wear ring and new seals then change the oil as prescribed and all will be good. We own a 2008 29 Sovran with ips500 and love it! The usability in any condition completely outweighs the extra maintenance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
