1978 Tiara 2500 Vacationer, My first boat ever. Looking for a couple answers. - Sliverpickerjake - 05-28-2020 Being as I am a new boater, and bought what I think is a very beautiful and well riding craft. That being said there are just a couple question I have. Does anyone know where I can find the original spec sheets for my boat? also, i am noticing when I get to plain the steering becomes very hard. Is this normal, because I got a work out? Thanks for taking anytime to help me out. I love my boat and this brand. RE: 1978 Tiara 2500 Vacationer, My first boat ever. The steering will be hard on plane if the little sacrificial skeg right behind the prop is adjusted wrong (or missing altogether). This will sound counter intuitive but loosen it up (1/2 or 9/16 socket) and standing behind the engine facing towards the front, turn the skeg the same direction the steering wheel is trying to pull. You may have to move it a couple of times to get the right feel but it's not that difficult. RE: 1978 Tiara 2500 Vacationer, My first boat ever.
