New to Us 2007 3200 - bebender - 07-09-2020

Hi
My name is Brian, my wife and I are soon to be owners of a well loved 07 3200 with 8.1s.  Moving away from our Grady 330 is bittersweet.  Great looking site, and nice to see so many active users.

Congrats. You are going to love the ride with those 8.1's sitting low in your hull.

Another congrats are due.  The Admiral and I bought the same year/model last summer.  Thoroughly enjoying it.  Have fun!

Thank you !

Congratulations! That looks like a nice boat! I'm guessing it's the one in San Diego. If I lived closer I would have looked at that one myself. It looks quite nice at a good price. I'm still searching.

Congrats on your purchase!

I'm looking at buying a 2006 32 open with 355 Cummins diesels with 860 hrs. I've been dreaming of this boat for years and it just came on the market.  Owner has survey completed and has shared repair history.  What should I look at in detail and how would I find the market value?
Thanks

Chris

Check for moisture everywhere on the hardtop and around the hull side thruhulls. Check condition of cutlass bearings and also look for blistering. Obviously there's alot of others things a good surveyor will look at but those are a few to watch with these models.

We bought an 07 32 Open with the Cummins last year, same hrs.  As mentioned above, special attention on the hardtop if equipped.  We had to have a bunch of work done due to improper installations.  Hopefully you have good maintanience records on the motors.  The aftercoolers MUST be serviced no longer than every three years.  If the proper servicing has been documented they will be great long life motors.

Thank you both!

I'm purchasing the same boat, 2007 3200 with Cummings. survey found 15 square feet of moisture in the hardtop with delamination.
Is this a common problem with the 32? Getting repair quotes now. I also have high moisture along both port and starboard gunnels. Suspect the rod holders have caused the problem.
Anyone out there with similar problems.
Mike
