How to install handrails on factory hardtop of 1997 Tiara 3300 Open? - tedplanta - 08-04-2020 I have a 1997 Tiara 3300 Open with a factory hardtop. I would like to install handrails on top of the hardtop for safety when walking along the side of the boat. There are 3 slightly indented square pads on each side of the hardtop. I assume the pads are where I should fasten the handrails. Should I lag screw the rails into the pads, or should I thru-bolt them to the hardtop? Thank you, Ted Planta, Seattle WA. RE: How to install handrails on factory hardtop of 1997 Tiara 3300 Open? - strevet - 09-17-2020 Ted, I own a 2006 Tiara 3200 Open and am in the midst of drilling holes in my hardtop for another project. I wasn't sure about drilling holes in the hardtop so I emailed Tiara. They were great and emailed me back a technical drawing of what is in my hardtop. Before you poke the first hole into the hardtop, get the diagram. P.S. - I'm nearby on Bainbridge Island |
