Main DC Circuit Breaker Part Recommendation - Chesfisherman1 - 08-20-2020 Can anyone recommend a main circuit breaker for all DC/12volt on my 1996 Pursuit 3100 This controls ALL 12 Volt in my boat (box located in engine room/upper left position) the part number of the switch is as follows but I see no indication of AMPS for this switch. ETA does not make this part anymore. ETA AC 115V - DC 28V 41-3-S14-LN2 thank you in advance. Chesfisherman Main DC Circuit Breaker Part Recommendation - Misdirection - 08-20-2020 According to this, 35 amp. Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk RE: Main DC Circuit Breaker Part Recommendation - Chesfisherman1 - 08-20-2020 Thanks Cap. The ETA info confusing around the web but found this pdf saying the LN2 series goes from 30-90 amps. The wiring diagram for my 3100 says it is a 50 amp. I think? (pic) So I think I am after a 50 amp thermal breaker with the same form factor as the ETA. agree/disagree? Thank you! not sure my attachments are ok...rookie Main DC Circuit Breaker Part Recommendation - Misdirection - 08-20-2020 From the wiring diagram, I would agree with 50 amp. See attached order FYI RE: Main DC Circuit Breaker Part Recommendation - Sans Peur - 08-22-2020 Looking at the schematic I am a bit confused. It shows a 50 amp switch with a 60 amp fuse right in front of it. Is there a fuse inline somewhere prior to the switch? RE: Main DC Circuit Breaker Part Recommendation - Chesfisherman1 - 08-23-2020 Capt, I think you may have a very good point here. This circuit breaker is #1 important component on my boat. It tripped during my last outing and would not reset. Given my conversion to electric fuel pumps vs mechanical without 12 volt DC I was dead in the water. By chance I had a thermal breaker for my Florida flats boat trolling motor aboard. I had to remove breaker box...wire in trolling motor switch and was able to get main DC back so I could return to dock. My schematics are on boat and will do a visual circuit trace to find this 50 and 60 amp components. Will report back on correct amp for main breaker. Question- What is your amperage for your main DC circuit breaker? Your 3600 maybe higher than my 3100 but would be a good data point. Sorry...your 41...
RE: Main DC Circuit Breaker Part Recommendation - Sans Peur - 08-23-2020 I will have to look. My boat is 2 hours away so I may not get to it in the next week or so. I will let you know. RE: Main DC Circuit Breaker Part Recommendation - Chesfisherman1 - 09-01-2020 Capt- You are correct...it was a 60 not a 50...very good catch from circuit diagram. The old part did have “60” engraved on the button but was hard to see visually. No need for checking of your boat. Thank you! Chesfisherman |
