2001 3500 open with 7.4 Crusaders Prop's - Commander3500 - 08-24-2020
Just bought a 2001 3500 open. Currently has 3 blade props. Looking to see who's running what and what would be the best props to run on this boat. 7.4 Crusaders. Thanks

You've got the best props on it unless you've added considerable weight to it like a 400 lb rib on the swim platform.

Thanks reeltimebrad. Just bought boat and saw they are three blade props. I have read that some owners are using four blade props. Im not sure of pitch. Plan on looking when boat is hauled for winter. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I can only get 26 kts at 4000 rpm. 22 kts at 3300. Burning about 30 gal per hour.

I would think your WOT RPM's should be maxing out around 4400, depending upon water conditions and weight on board. You seem to be a little below that. First thing I would do is after the boat is hauled out, confirm the pitch and diameter of your current props. That should be listed on your survey as well, assuming you had one done. Then I would contact Tiara Customer Service and request what the original props for your boat were and compare.
