V-birth vs Center Island Bed - Matta0413 - 08-24-2020 This is our 4th year with our 2002 3100 open. My wife is still not sleeping well in the Vbirth because she feels closed in (kinda claustrophobic). I am considering moving up a few feet to the shortest Tiara I can buy that has the centered bed instead of the Vbirth as I am thinking that may help. Do many of the 33' opens have that layout? And if so is there a lot more room? I am limited on length at my club so 33-34 is as long as I can go. RE: V-birth vs Center Island Bed - Ridin'High - 08-24-2020 I'm not positive but when I was looking at 33's I remember seeing one with the island bet. It was a 1997 which I believe is the last year the 33 was built and then replace with the 35 in 1998. I had a 2000 35 that had the island bed and it was very comfortable. However, that boat is 40'-8" LAO so that might be bigger then you can fit in your well. Try a 32 Open, they have the island bed and are close to the length your looking for. As a bonus they have 13' beam, Good luck hope this helps. RE: V-birth vs Center Island Bed - Matta0413 - 08-25-2020 Thanks Ridin High V-birth vs Center Island Bed - johnhesch - 08-25-2020 Yep, thumbs up for a 32 Open ... beam is amazing. ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk RE: V-birth vs Center Island Bed - strevet - 09-17-2020 We have a 2006 Tiara 3200 Open with a centered island bed. We spend a lot of nights cruising in it here in the PNW. We both sleep quite well in it. The head height in bed is fine for sitting up and reading in bed or for the Admiral drinking coffee in bed, but not like your bed at home. I would encourage you to find a broker and look at a few. While you can't test drive a boat without first putting in an offer, you could probably jump up and check out the bed! Good luck RE: V-birth vs Center Island Bed - dbriceno - 09-19-2020 I think the LOA on a 32 Open is about 37' |
