3109 Open Part II - azarur - 09-06-2020 Hi all, So, we closed on our Tiara on Friday and proceeded to sail it from the Connecticut river to Block Island to spend the weekend with friends. Amazing ride. Went thru the long island sound and the race at 22 knots and 3100 rpm without even a bit of spray on the windshield. Could not be happier. The surveyor - great guy btw, Grant Westerson, in case anyone ever needs one in CT/RI - found a few nits and I found a few more along the way. Nothing big. Mostly electrical stuff: faulty starboard alternator, level switch on the shower bilge faulty, faulty wiring to the VHF. We are setting off on Tuesday back to the Boston area. Was wondering if anyone can recommend a good yard north of Boston that knows tiaras and can fix those electrical issues, hopefully before the boat comes out of the water. Thanks in advance! Brought her up to Hull,MA which, although an hour from my home, was the only place I could get a slip. I sure hope you find someone competent for your repairs. Everything has proved to be a challenge---to put it "politely" at my "full service marina" Please post if you do find a yard that one could actually recommend
