Chinese Turbo Charger - BVTeam - 09-24-2020
The Turbo Charger of our Cummins 370 engine just went dead. Cummins is out of them as well as all the places I have called. I am seeing these on Ebay manufactured and shipped from China. They are a fraction of the cost. Anyone have had experience with engine parts from China? I am looking for Part # 3802829

I have no direct experience but if you go to boatdiesel.com you can ask or research posts on this subject. none of the posts I have read had good things to say about turbos coming in from China. I would stick with OEM if at all possible or there are facilities here in the US that specialize in rebuilding or blueprinting turbos. The other place to check information or parts availability is seaboard marine. They specialize in Cummins parts and knowledge base. Good chance they will have your turbo in stock or can point you towards a reputable rebuilder.
