Replacing aft cockpit seat covers - Sovran 3900 - pallor - 01-29-2021 I am in the process of replacing the seating cover in the aft cockpit area (u shape lounge area) I have been able to remove all seating except one area - the cushion that is under the grab handle as you move from the cockpit into the helm station area. It seems the only access to remove the bolts for this handle and cushion is from the headliner in the cabin tv lounge. Has anyone tried this? Any advice welcome? Thanks PR RE: Replacing aft cockpit seat covers - Sovran 3900 - Maxwell - 01-30-2021 I haven't owned the 39 in awhile, but if I remember correctly, there is an electrical panel on the side under the handle... Can you unscrew the electrical panel and get access behind it? I would suggest having the boat unplugged and batteries off just in case.. Thanks Max, I know the location you are referring, however the handle that I am working on is actually the one aft, level with the first step into the helm station area. RE: Replacing aft cockpit seat covers - Sovran 3900 - Skipperc3900 - 04-12-2025 Just completed the removal and installation of the aft cushions on our 39. The two 7/16”nuts are easily removed with access via under the aft stbd cushion going outboard. The most forward hand rail cushion was much more difficult. Best of luck! |
