Hurth / Mercruiser Transmission - aksmith - 07-08-2014
The Port trans on my 1992 33 open makes a ticking sound when in reverse that follows the rpm of the engine. Sounds like it might be a chipped tooth on a gear. I've heard that it may be cheaper to buy new than rebuild. Does anyone know where to get the trans overhauled near the great lakes? Where to buy a new trans? Any advise will be greatly appreciated. Thanks :help:
