2007 39000 Sovran Engine Hatch Won't Lift - Kevin Spellman - 05-28-2021

Hi all, I've read some older boat threads about the engine hatch lifts having special safety elements. Ours won't lift and we have spent hours trying to figure it out from an electrical standpoint. Any ideas??

I have an ‘08 32 Open and had to replace the Magnetic Reed switch under the companion seat. It only cost about $10 (the shipping was more than the parts) but was a bit of a hassle finding the right parts. I replaced both the sensor and actuator. I eventually found the exact ones at this place, Allied Electronics.https://www.alliedelec.com/view/search/?category=2%7c3882618%2f3886800 I kept the invoice with the part numbers etc. and can give them to you if you need them. Took 2 minutes to do.
