A/C Strainer Basket - GeoDoc - 06-24-2021
On the soon to be mine 2002 38 Open the a/c strainer is located beneath the starboard engine. Does anyone know the brand / model of the strainer. The strainer basket needs to be replaced. Does anyone know what I should buy? It's too far away for me to check myself. Thanks

On my 2003 38 Open the Strainers both Engine & Generator are GROCO... I've attached the spec sheet w/part numbers. Not sure which is used on thee Gen.

According to Tiara mine came with a Groco ARG 1000 P strainer (P for poly basket). The current Groco basket number for the poly model is BP3. The stainless model is BS3. They are interchangeable according to Groco's customer service person. West Marine's website found them both by simply entering the model number without the brand.
