Overboard Discharge - GeoDoc - 10-22-2021
2002 38 Open. Need details on where to place macerator pump and thru hull valve for black tank overboard. Pictures would be appreciated.

I have a 2003 38 Open with the overboard discharge system....The "Y" valve that allows you to select overboard drain through the bottom or through the deck pump out is located under the little grate between the engines (same place the mid bilge pump is located). The discharge hose from the "Y" valve goes to the Macerator Pump which is located on the starboard side in the engine room, just aft of the Barrel containing the shore power cord. From the macerator pump the discharge hose goes toward the stern (starboard side) to the through hull valve which is located under the small fish well. Remove the fish well and that's where the discharge through hull valve is located.... Hope this help... The breaker, 15 amp, for the macerator pump is located under the steps on the main 12 volt breaker panel. Hope this helps.

Is the discharge thru hull valve inboard or outboard of the stringer?
