New owner 3500 Express - Docked Wages - 12-01-2021
Hello everyone,
Just purchased a 1995 3500 express with cummins 6cta 420hp. Would love to hear from others about their experiences and and any tips they learned piloting this beast, quite the move from a 31 Searay. We boat in the S. E. Michigan area.

Practice! Practice! Practice! We’ve successfully moved from a 26 Sea Ray to a 35 Chris Craft to a 40 Tiara. With each, it just takes a bit of practice to learn how they react to different conditions and control changes at the helm. With each new boat, I would spend a good bit of time just experimenting with different combinations until I was comfortable with response times, etc.
Other than that, it’s just another (slightly larger) boat.
