Older Heat Exchanger Mounting - duchess - 12-30-2021 Howdy all, I have a 1986 31' open with 454s and ~1200 hours. I am in the process of replacing both starters, alternators, new E35 Sherwood raw pumps, both T-stats, fresh water pressure pump, water heater, removing and cleaning all elbows/risers, and having the heat exchangers serviced. I noticed both H/Xs have broken free from the mounting brackets, that have been welded. Is there a better way of securing them? I am almost 66 years old and prefer not to climb down in the small engine room, too often, if I can help it. She performs well and runs cool but trying to prevent issues. Thanks for any assistance and happy New year. Wes, |
