29 Tiara Coronet AC Install - Newbie7749 - 02-25-2022 I am looking to install a new self-contained AC unit on my 29 Tiara Coronet. Any suggestions as to location of the unit. Unlike other Tiaras, I don't think the 29 Coronet had AC as an option, so it does not seem like a simple drop in installation. I am also considering just using a portable unit, but want to try for the self-contained marine ac unit route if the installation is relatively straightforward. Thanks for any help. 29 Tiara Coronet AC Install - Misdirection - 02-25-2022 I don't know if their made any longer, but a friend had one of these in his 30' Searay and it worked pretty good. Krusin Kool marine ac. Doesnt look like theirs alot of room to mount a traditional ac in a 2900 Coronet. Seems we need to ac current electrical panel installed first. Figured $8,000 would cover many years of room rental. Coming into it, I thought it was just a matter of the cost of the self-contained AC unit which seem to cost about $1500-$2,000; but if you need to upgrade electrical capabilities then it gets way more expense. I may just take aboard a portable air conditioner if needed (e.g., Zero Breeze). It's such a small cabin that it won't take much to cool it. RE: 29 Tiara Coronet AC Install - Lobsta - 03-02-2022 Maybe something like this would work. I am familiar with the 29 and that space is pretty small so this may do it. edit - I just re read and see you already found it! |
