Windshield Washer solenoid location 02-3100 - jmarlo - 04-05-2022

Where should I be able to find the windshield washer solenoid on a 2002 3100 Open?  Issue is that the washer pump will not shut off completely, and washer fluid trickles from nozzle continuously.

When the dash switch for washer is activated, the pump works as intended.

Thanks for any suggestions.

May I suggest that you remove the solenoid and try cleaning it.. I suspect there's dirt in it... M2C

My 35 Open did the same.  The solenoid was in front of the starboard engine on mine.  I never used the washer system, so I turned off the inline valve before the solenoid.

There’s a repair kit available for the solenoids. They’re very easy to dismantle and repair. I found it on a. Website called sloanrepair. They’re the same valves that turn on the water in most electric restrooms sinks. Just shop around. One kit cost $67.00. I bought two more on Amazon for about $25.00 each.

ON my pervious 31 Open (1997) the solenoid was in the engine room on the forward firewall starboard side.... There's 1 solenoid on the 31... It has a clean out plug. I'd take it out and clean the solenoid. M2C
