water in fuel alarm - lesliepawlak@yahoo.com - 08-10-2022

Hi there - I have twin cummins QSB diesels, 600 hrs and all was great. Off and on I've had the "water in fuel" alarms; I've bled the racors in the past and alarm went off. But it would come back off and on. Recently the port engine suddenly sounded "rough" and there was some smoke. It sounds like one or 2 cylinders not firing; but also the "water in fuel" is back and specifically that same port engine. I've bled the racors again, replaced them as well as the other fuel filters. Still sounds rough. Could it be coincidence on water in fuel and I've also got some injectors not working?

Any help / experience here is appreciated.

You need to join boatdiesel . com. It cost very little and those guys absolutely know diesels.
