Aft Bilge Breaker Tripping - Newbie7749 - 09-05-2022 My dash switch for my Aft Bilge Pump keeps tripping the Aft Bilge breaker. My aft bilge is bone dry. Any thoughts on where to look first before replacing the pump? RE: Aft Bilge Breaker Tripping - Sans Peur - 09-05-2022 Disconnect the wire to the pump and see if it trips when you turn on the switch. If It does then you have a short somewhere between the switch and pump. If it doesn't then it is probably the pump bad. Does the float switch still work or does it trip when activated as well? RE: Aft Bilge Breaker Tripping - Newbie7749 - 09-07-2022 Is there an easy well to tell if the Circuit Breaker switch itself is bad? Considering the cheap cost, I am considering replacing these in the offseason. I disconnected the pump (thankfully it had a wire harness so was easily disconnected) and the switch no longer trips the breaker. Looks like the pump is bad and will be replaced. |
