4100 Open Galley question - Clarky98 - 11-22-2022

That was an in cabinet coffee maker. They don't make them anymore.
I tried to attach a pic of my old 41 galley but as usual this site limits the pic size instead of reducing it like every other site out there. Admin, are you listening?

I placed a magnetic blackboard behind the wooden frame, works great and gives the cabinets a finished look

I have another question......directly above the stove, there is a metal plate screwed into the bottom of the cabinet below the microwave. Thinking it has a purpose but not aligned with the microwave. Since there is no overhead vent above the stove, is this an area where one can be added?

The metal plate is to shield the wood from the heat coming off the stove. It would be possible.to.cut a hole.and add a vent to it. Just not sure where you would vent the heat to.
