Hello From Sandusky Ohio - The Hemper - 02-07-2023

Good Morning,

We have just sold our 23 foot sea ray bow rider and are looking to upgrade to the "big boat!"  We are the "in betweeners" right now!  We are in the market for a 3300 open.  After doing some research, maybe an early 3600 open could be an option as well.  We are soon going to be empty nesters and the boat will be used on Lake Erie for short trips, some fishing and mainly an overnighter boat with many sunset sippers and sitters as well.

I know that the interior changed a bit in the later years of the 3300 open.  I keep seeing Plan A and Plan B for interior.  I have read that Plan B is the one that is considered roomier.

Is the Plan A the layout with the couch that turns into the bunk beds?

I would like the plan that has the queen birth.

We know that these boats do not come up for sale often up here in the North, and we are patient.  We wont buy just any boat.

I would be curious if anyone has any insight and also if anyone knows of any 3300 opens for sale in the great lakes region.

We are looking forward to our new adventure with a Tiara.

Welcome. I'm just down the lake from you in Ashtabula. I have a 3600 Open, A plan. On the older models, the A plan has the U shaped galley on the left as you enter the cabin. My dinette coverts into a bed, and the back of the dinette raises into a single bunk (or convienent storage).

I also have queen bed up front. Love the boat and the layout.

Thanks for the info.  I actually spent most of my lake time just west of Geneva on the Lake until moving to Sandusky.

The 3600 is also an option, and over here the gassers would not be a big issue since most of the boating destinations are rather close.
