Yearly maintenance - mc307tank - 05-30-2023 Second season with my Tiara 3100 Open, I put less than 100 hours on the boat the first full season in 2022 on Lake Erie How often should the engines get a tune-up? mine had plugs, wires, cap, points ect replaced in the fall before I got the boat in 2021. How often should the fuel filters be replaced? Oil change every fall or after 100 hours? I had the impellers and duck bills replaced last year. What is the interval on impeller replacement? I had the duck bills and impellers replaced in 2022 just because I had no idea when it had been done before. When or should you ever replace the transmission fluid? Yearly maintenance - Misdirection - 05-30-2023 Engine tune up along with distributor cap and rotor and new impellers every three years. Change oil every fall right before haul out. Change transmission fluid every other year. Clean flame arrestor every year. Repack stuffing box as needed. Top off batteries every fall. Replace as needed. Replace sacrificial anodes as needed. Fire extinguishers need to be with in 12 years old. Check flares for expiration. Duck bills probably every 3-5 years. RE: Yearly maintenance - mc307tank - 06-06-2023 Ok gonna sound stupid but I have had no luck finding the anodes on the boat. None visible on hull, ones identified in Crusader Manual don't check out. Yearly maintenance - Misdirection - 06-06-2023 Do you have anodes on your prop shafts (you should). And on your U cooler on the Crusader, there should be a drain (looks like one of the drains on the exhaust manifolds). That drain plug is a sacrificial anode. At least on my raw water cooled crusaders they are. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk RE: Yearly maintenance - Livvy Brynn - 06-07-2023 There should also be anodes on the heat exchanger. I was able to find the one for my 2006 online. Although I think you could pull any Crusader manual each of which has a very good maintenance checklist that is broken down by Daily, 10 hours, 25 hours, 50 hours, 100 hours. |
