Crusader 502XLI ECM Harness 10 Amp Circuit Breaker tripping - MGTTF - 07-17-2023 New here and looking for some help. 1998 Tiara 3500 Express with Crusader 502 XLI's. After running for around 25-30 minutes Strbd motor will shut down while running regardless of RPM. (in most instances 2900-3400RPM). Water temps and oil pressure all indicate normal. Discovered 10 amp ECM harness circuit breaker on engine had tripped. Reset breaker and all works as it should. Once back up to normal operating temps breaker continues to trip after 25-minutes (or so) running. Replaced ECM harness circuit breaker and the problem persists. Replaced ignition control module and still experiencing the same problem. Not sure where to go from here. In order to get the boat back in the dock I have to reset the breaker so I have the use of both motors, but that makes it so it can't be troubleshot. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I believe it's heat related whatever may be causing the breaker to trip, but there's nothing indicating any kind of overheat issue. Is it possible the ignition relay could cause this? Thanks for any and all help! RE: Crusader 502XLI ECM Harness 10 Amp Circuit Breaker tripping - Mtgates44 - 04-27-2025 Is it the 10 amp fuel pump circuit breaker that is tripping? I am having the same problem on my 1996 Tiara 3100 open with Crusader 454 XLi's. I tested the fuel pump and it works fine. The Fuel pump is supposed to draw less than 4.5 amps but if there is excessive resistance it could cause the amperage draw to exceed 10 amps and trip the breaker. My next step is to test amperage draw of the fuel pump. Anyone else have this problem? After chasing the wires back they were actually labeled "fuel pump". The fuel pump would begin to overheat after 25-30 minutes under a load. Replaced the fuel pump and all has been fine since.
