New electronics and dashboard - boatmanmark - 09-01-2023 [attachment=1252]After buying our 2006 36 Open the Raymarine E-120 lost the GPS function. After trying everything I could including whatever the Ray Tech suggested it still did not work. After taking the boat home via Erie Canal I removed the old gear and installed a new dash made from 1/8 aluminum painted to match the top dash. RE: New electronics and dashboard - MC1600 - 09-01-2023 Nice work! RE: New electronics and dashboard - boatmanmark - 09-24-2023 (09-01-2023, 06:15 PM)MC1600 Wrote: Nice work! Thank you RE: New electronics and dashboard - Polesetter - 10-14-2023 Did you make the panel or did you have someone make it? I’m looking to upgrade my electronics in my 31 open as well. RE: New electronics and dashboard - boatmanmark - 05-15-2024 I'm sorry Polesetter for such a late response, I made the panel myself. RE: New electronics and dashboard - ReelMagic - 05-16-2024 I just replaced my FURUNO NAVNET Chartplotter/sonar/Radar with a GARMIN 8616xsc w/Fantom 54 radar... Had replaced my Northstar unit several years ago with a GARMIN 7612 chartplotter... I've integrated both units with NMEA 2000 & Garmin Marine Netowrok... Great system. Also integrated my SIMRAD Auto pilot using NMEA 183 to the Garmin system.... Love it... See dashboard pic... RE: New electronics and dashboard - Roweje - 05-20-2024 Really nice work! Looks great! RE: New electronics and dashboard - prescottsmith100 - 08-29-2025 Very nice. I was really frustrated by the Engineer came up with the wiring layout. I am 6'3" and had to remove the seat to access the wiring. My breakers were going...1 by 1. I decided that the time had come to rip it all out and to start again. I completely re-wired the boat and while I was at it (purests close your eyes) I scuttled the Generator, HVAC, Engines and anything else that could break on a 1989 3100 Open. I installed a pair of Suzuki 350s, had a bracket professionally engineered and installed...Wow. Anyone interested in pics, send me your email - prescottsmith100@gmail.com |
