Prop Size Older 31 Open - duchess - 10-29-2023
I have 350HP Crusaders in my 1986 31' Open with 18" X 23" props. Engines have 1240 hours and run great but at wide open, with 50% water & fuel, she turns around 3900 RPM and 36 MPH. That is below the 4000 RPM - 4400 RPM. Does anyone run 18" X 21" props?

I just bought a 1985 31 open. She has BB260B Volvo small blocks. The props are 18x 21 and I get 4200 rpm. I plan to change to Electronic distributors and do a little tuning in the spring. Should get closer to 43-4400.
