A/C raw water pump runs very hot - Joeboch348 - 05-15-2024
1993 3100. I replaced the raw water pump for the ac unit because it gets really hot. The brand new one runs just as hot. It’s a cal marine ms580. Did I replace a properly running pump? Both blow cold air

I'm not familiar with your pump but I believe Tiara used MARCH LC-3CP-MD 115 VAC MAGNETIC DRIVE CENTRIFUGAL PUMP 0130-0158-0200.. Size of pump was based on the A/C units installed.....

All my pumps (4 of them) create heat in the ER. They are all 240v and wired correctly. They just seem to run like that.

Both of our 240 volt pumps run hot. I think it's just the nature of the beast.
